2024 Santa Claus Parades

 

Aylmer Santa Claus Parade - Sat. Nov. 23rd @ 2pm.

This year marks the 80th anniversary and this long-standing traditional parade, organized by the Kinsmen Club, runs down Main Street (Talbot Street #3), starting at Dingle St, and ending at the Lutheran Church. The energy in unlike anything else, with great community involvement and the local businesses, churches, and the library all have floats in it. The theme this year is “Away in a Manger”. The Burlington Teen Tour Band is confirmed to come and perform and there will be a special surprise for everyone in honour of the 80th anniversary. Don’t forget to watch out for Santa as he makes his annual appearance at the end!

 

St. Thomas Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Nov. 23rd @ 6pm.

The 38th annual Optimist Santa Claus Parade is sponsored by the St Thomas Optimists and starts at 6pm along Talbot Street from First Avenue to Elgin Street. The 2024 theme is “Christmas at the Circus”. So, put on your thinking cap - or Santa hat - and bring Christmas at the Circus to life as a float entry in our 2024 St. Thomas Optimist Santa Claus Parade!

 

Dickens’ Day Santa Claus Parade – Fri. Nov. 29th @ 7pm.

Step back in time and experience the charm of a Victorian Christmas! The 26th annual Dickens’ Day Parade helps kick off the weekend festivities and starts at 7pm in the village of Port Stanley. The weekend includes hand-warming stations with marshmallow roasting, village-wide sales with special deals, Dickens Carolers singing classic holiday songs, and horse-drawn carriage rides through the picturesque streets as part of the festivities. Embrace the magic of the season and make lasting memories with friends and family!

 

West Lorne Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Nov. 30th @ 6pm.

It’s a “Winter Wonderland” at the West Lorne Santa Claus Parade! There will be FREE food given out at the Health Centre prior to, during, and after the parade. Enjoy the themed floats and join Santa outside the West Lorne Community Health Centre when the parade ends. Be sure to stop by the WL Optimist food truck for hot dogs, chili, and hot drinks, and help them collect food bank donations along the parade route. There will be a contest for best entry as per the parade theme & prizes awarded. Mark your calendars now and tell all your friends and family to come!

Fingal-Shedden and District Optimist Club Santa Claus Parade – Sun. Dec. 1st @ 2pm.

Organized by the Optimist Club, the parade starts at Fingal Line, by the Township Office, and heads north. Get ready to celebrate the magic of the holiday season with a fun-filled evening of festive floats and holiday music. Join in this wonderful tradition and meet Santa at the end in front of the Knox Presbyterian Church, bringing joy to children of all ages. Don’t miss out on the joyous entertainment, local performers, and a spectacular parade route lined with cheer!

 

Belmont Santa Claus Parade – Sun. Dec. 1st @ 6pm.

The 22nd annual parade is a long stating tradition for the community of Belmont. It starts at Belmont Farm Supply and runs down Main Street. The volunteer Fire Department collects canned goods for local food banks during the parade. Come and watch all the amazing bands and floats, and of course a special appearance by Santa Claus himself at the end!

 

Springfield Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Dec. 7th @ 1pm

Join the time-honored Springfield Swans Santa Clause Parade, a beloved Main Street tradition that kicks off at Springfield Rd, and heads west. Santa will be at the Fire Hall immediately following the parade for kids to come visit with him. The Fire Department will be serving fries, hot dogs, and drinks before the parade kicks off. Experience the community spirit as local businesses, churches and the library showcase their festive floats.

 

Port Burwell Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Dec. 7th @ 6pm

It’s a holiday tradition in this cozy community of Port Burwell. The parade kicks off at the Royal Canadian Legion and welcomes everyone to join in spreading holiday cheer. From local floats to Santa’s grand entrance, it’s a fun and festive celebration you won’t want to miss. Bring your holiday spirit and join in for a night of joy and wonder!

 

Straffordville Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Dec. 14th @ 10:30am

Enjoy the spirit of the season with your neighbours and friends at the annual Straffordville Santa Claus Parade, starting at 10:30am. Following the parade there will be a meet and greet with Santa, including a photo opportunity with him at the Straffordville Community Centre. Don’t miss out on the free treat bags for the little ones, and yummy cookies and hot chocolate for all. Everyone is welcome!

Dutton Santa Claus Parade – Sat. Dec. 14th @ 5:30pm

Experience a fun evening filled with music, twinkling festive lights, and food trucks, all set in the “Christmas through the Decades” theme. After the parade, make sure to visit Santa at the town hall, where holiday cheer and festive memories await. It’s the perfect way to celebrate what makes this town so special!
