The Vimy Lecture honours all those who fought in this great battle. 

This year’s theme focuses on the carvings created by hundreds of Canadian Soldiers waiting in the caves below the action. Artist and founder Zenon Andrusyszyn of the CANADIGM Group will present his findings and share the work of two men who left their marks in the caves, Private Earl Lacey and Grant Phelps.

Need help destroying old electronics?

The St. Thomas Police Service is partnering with the Electronics Recycling Association to host this community event.

Saturday, April 8th ~ 11am-3pm

North Parking Lot of the Joe Thornton Community Centre

The public is invited to drop off any old or unused electronic devices to have the devices securely wiped and refurbished to be donated back into the community or to have the hard drives destroyed on site.

The goal is to protect citizens personal information that is stored on old devices.

Devices that people are reluctant to get rid of for fear that their personal information could be recovered and used for an illegal purpose.

Marc was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of singer Charles Jordan, and grew up in Toronto, Canada.

Jordan’s music career launched internationally in 1978 when he was signed to Warner Music in Los Angeles and began writing songs with some of the best in the business.

In his forty plus year career he has been a hit solo artist (‘Marina Del Rey’, ‘Survival’), a sought-after songwriter (‘Rhythm of My Heart’), and in the last decade, he took up a paintbrush and became a visual artist.

When American Airlines Flight 1 crashed on Thompson and Viola Howe's farm,

on October 30, 1941, the residents of Lawrence Station, Ontario and

surrounding area attempted to rescue the 17 passengers and 3 flight crew.

It was Canada's worst aviation disaster.

This play is about the life stories that were instantly altered by the Flagship Erie's final flight.
