ECHC Author Talk with Paul Allen

Bring the entire family to learn about Canada's oldest baseball league!

Come on out for an illustrated talk by former Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) star and author Paul Allen based on his new book - Bright Lights, Black Stars.

His book tells the story of the ‘Negro League’ players who came to play in Canada’s oldest baseball league beginning in the 1940s.

Tuesday, August 29th at 2:00pm

Paul Allen is a retired teacher who played in the Intercounty League from 1963 to 1971.
He also wrote When Tobacco Was King - the story of Canada’s tobacco industry, a crop that flourished for many years in Elgin County.
