Port Burwell Marine Museum & Historic Lighthouse

The Museum & Historic Lighthouse depicts the rich local marine history. Climb the 1840s wooden structure for a fabulous panoramic view of Lake Erie. Open Daily from 10 am - 5:30 pm mid-May through Labour Day.

The museum is directly across from the lighthouse.  Port Burwell's rich marine and local history comes to life through displays featuring lighthouse lenses, artifacts recovered from Lake Erie shipwrecks, ship models, and an assortment of artifacts and photographs. Check out the various anchors, foghorns, and other nautical items displayed. Watch the restoration of the Wheelhouse located in front of the museum.  The museum and lighthouse are open daily from Victoria Day Weekend through to Labour Day.  Special exhibits and children’s activities are held throughout the summer months.  You can take part in these activities by calling the museum directly for details, costs and registrations.  Off-season Tours may be available by calling the Municipal Office at 519-866-5521
